It has a generous 48” arc, a sturdy frame of unbreakable fiberglass ribs and collapses to 12” long. The attached strap fastens in place for easy storage and carrying. History
Massenet’s most popular work, based on Abbe Prévost’s novel Manon Lescaut, premiered at Paris’s Opéra-Comique in 1884. Laurent Pelly, who created the Met’s new production of the opera, says: “Manon is an adventure that amuses, moves, and frightens us. The title character is lively, free, young, and feckless—and she manipulates all the men around her purely for her own pleasure. Anna Netrebko is remarkable in the part—she has sex appeal, a bewitching voice, and she is an extraordinary actress.”
